Avoidable damageInferno hit the stack on the Kokia pullgroup

Abandoned on Kokia Blazehoof after a pull the group kicked 100% of and still lost six people; this key asked 1.7x the healing per second of the median run on record.

Read every number below as a truncated sample. This key was abandoned at 16:57 against a 30:00 par, stopped partway through the dungeon, so nothing here is comparable to a timed run and none of it belongs in a trend read down this site.

Whose fault: not yours, and not obviously anyone's. The run ended on a pull where the group stopped 100% of what could be stopped and still lost six players in under four minutes. Interrupts were not the failure on the pull that killed the key.

What was failing is the raw amount of damage arriving. This key asked you for 155,474 healing per second. The median key in the 55-key corpus the scale was cut from asks 90,211, and its 95th percentile is 130,287 -- so this run demanded roughly 1.7 times the median and sat outside the range the scale can grade fairly. Your throughput of 77 and response of 80 are both explicitly flagged as floors for that reason.

The two axes that actually cost you -- survival 61 for two deaths, activity 74 -- are both downstream of a wipe you were standing inside.

What to change, biggest first

  1. Do not read this key's axes against your timed keys; it stopped at 16:57 of a 30:00 par and every number is a truncated sample.
  2. Ask the group whether Blazebound Firestorm's Inferno is avoidable -- it was 15% of all damage taken and killed two people, and no axis here can tell you either way.
  3. Nothing to change on interrupts for the wipe pull: 100% of stoppable casts were stopped on it.
  4. Raise the tank's incoming damage with the group -- 143,346 per second, against 87,835 for the tank in your Blinding Vale key the same night.
  5. Holy Power overcap was 124 of 474 generated, 26%, the highest of the three keys, though a wipe-heavy key inflates it.

Notes

Where the numbers need a second look

Where the seventeen minutes went

16:57 on the timer = 14:46 fighting, 1:28 routing, 2:30 death penalty, 0:10 pull timer

Ten deaths at fifteen seconds each is 2:30 -- a quarter of the wall clock spent dead rather than playing.

Time lost to pulls was 6:16 of 16:57, and one pull owns almost all of it:

  pull 4 at 12:39 cost 5:16 3:46 fighting 17 enemies 6 deaths 56,796,941 taken 100% kicked WIPE

That is Kokia Blazehoof. The group interrupted everything it was able to interrupt on that pull and took 56.8 million damage anyway. Across the whole key interrupts were 88 of 133, 66% -- so the group was leaking casts in general, but not on the pull that ended the run.

Inferno was 15% of everything the party took

One spell, 511 hits, 42,043,683 damage, landing on all five players. That is the single largest damage source in the key, and it is filed under "landed on most of the party" -- which means Arbiter excuses it for everyone, because unavoidable raid damage and a puddle all five stood in are the same shape in a combat log.

It killed you at 16:22 and Arcane Mage at 16:25, both from Blazebound Firestorm. If that spell is in fact avoidable, this is where the key was lost and no axis on this page will ever say so. That is a question for someone who knows the fight, not for the log.

The tank was taking 143,346 damage per second

Brewmaster Monk, Brewmaster, took 143,346 per second across the key while self-healing 76,040 per second through Stagger.

For scale, from your own night: Doryhunky's Vengeance DH in The Blinding Vale +14 ninety minutes earlier took 87,835 per second. Same night, same key level, one dungeon apart -- and the tank in this run was absorbing over 60% more damage per second than the tank in that one.

That is most of your 155,474 demand figure explained in a single line, and it is the thing that would have to change for this key to be healable at a comfortable rate.

This is not the same failure as the last Ruby Life Pools +14

There is already a Ruby Life Pools +14 on this site, also abandoned, from 2026-09-01. Its finding was that 14.1% of the party's attempted damage was being eaten by shields on the enemies -- against a 0.4-2.5% norm across every other key in the archive.

Tonight that number is 2.6%: 23,042,259 absorbed against 848,932,500 landed. Ordinary. The group did not repeat that mistake. This run failed a different way -- not damage vanishing into shields, but damage arriving faster than five players could survive it.
