Overpull8 mobs chained, none killedgroupWrong targetMagma Totems left up, 22% of damagegroupTipUse Divine Protection; it was never pressed

Six Magma Totems with 19,202 health each did 22% of everything the party took; the +14 the day before killed nine of nine in about two seconds each, and there they cost 1.3%.

This is not your key to have lost. The group chain-pulled eight enemies in seventeen seconds at the start, poured Time Warp and every cooldown in the party into them, removed 82% of their combined health and killed none of them. Eight mobs at 2-31% is worth exactly the same as eight mobs at full: nothing dies, nothing stops casting.

What made it unsurvivable rather than merely slow was the totems. Each Enthralled Shaman drops two Magma Totems on about a thirty-second cycle. A Magma Totem has 19,202 health, roughly a thirtieth of a second of this party's damage. Six spawned. Three were killed, three were still ticking when the last person died, and between them they did 6,902,592 damage, 22% of everything the party took. The one that lived 14.6 seconds did 1,961,864 by itself, a hundred and two times its own health.

You healed 7,999,051 in 67 seconds of healing at 47.6% overheal, which is 47.4% in your best key on record, so overheal is not a finding here, it is just your number. What is different is that 37.6% of it went on yourself, against 21.7% in that key, because the thing hitting you took 72% of your health bar per cast.

Nine deaths is 2:15 of timer penalty against 2:13 of elapsed time. The key was over on the first pull.

What to change, biggest first

  1. Kill the Magma Totems the moment an Enthralled Shaman drops them. 19,202 health, one global, and they were 22% of the damage that killed this pull.
  2. Move the interrupt to the Voidtouched Magi. Shadowbolt Volley is worth 7.3 Lava Bolts per cast and took 72% of your health bar three times.
  3. Start pressing Divine Protection. It is a one-minute cooldown you did not use once in this key, and you used it twice in the next one.
  4. Do not read the never-pressed Lay on Hands line as a mistake here. Your own Divine Shield had it locked out until the instant you died.
  5. Keep the Divine Shield timing. You were at 1% health when you pressed it, and that was right even though it cost you Lay on Hands afterwards.
  6. For the group: eight enemies with 104M of combined health is not a pull this comp finishes, and mobs left at 2-31% pay nothing.

Notes

Where the numbers need a second look

How close the pull actually came

Eight enemies were engaged between t=10 and t=25, one about every two seconds: Feral Saberon, two Longtooth Tuskarr, Dominated Brawler, Lost Sethrak, two Enthralled Shaman, Voidtouched Magi. Their combined health, read off the log, was 104,256,387.

Voidtouched Magi 19,584,073 got to 5%
  Dominated Brawler 13,824,050 26%
  Enthralled Shaman 12,672,048 2%
  Enthralled Shaman 12,672,048 29%
  Feral Saberon 12,096,045 23%
  Longtooth Tuskarr 11,520,042 22%
  Longtooth Tuskarr 11,520,042 31%
  Lost Sethrak 10,368,039 11%

That is 85,726,399 removed, 82.2% of the pull, and 18,529,988 left standing. Checked a second way: summing every player damage event per target agrees with each of those eight figures to within 4%, and 85,726,399 over the 2:13 the log covers is 649,442 damage per second, against the 649,090 the report's own DPS column sums to.

So they were about seventeen more seconds of fighting away, at a rate that had already collapsed, because three of the five were dead by then. Nothing was healing the enemies: no mob's health rose by more than 1.6% at any point, which is sampling noise. Bolster is not the answer either. The Longtooth Tuskarr cast it six times here and fourteen times in the +14 that cleared, and nobody purged it in either.

The totems, and the control that settles them

Same dungeon, one key level lower, the day before, completed.

                          2026-09-05 +14 this +15

  Searing Magma damage 5,493,835 6,902,592
share of party intake 1.3% 21.8%

Nine totems over a thirty-minute key did less damage than six totems did in seventy-nine seconds. Per totem: 610,426 there, 1,150,432 here. The three that were killed here lived 9.6, 14.6 and 3.2 seconds from their first tick; every one in the +14 was dead inside three.

This is the cheapest fix in the key by a wide margin. 19,202 health is one global from anyone in the group. The 6,902,592 it cost is more damage than you healed: your whole outside-healing contribution to the party was 5,455,993.

Which kick was worth having

The group stopped 44% of what could be stopped, and put the kicks on the wrong caster. A leaked cast is one that started and was not interrupted.

Enthralled Shaman, Lava Bolt 16 casts landed 2,633,376 164,586 each kicked 6 times
Voidtouched Magi, Shadowbolt Volley 5 casts landed 5,989,993 1,197,999 each kicked 3 times

Shadowbolt Volley is a four-second cast that lands on four of the five of you and is worth 7.3 Lava Bolts. It hit you for 569,418 a time against a 792,620 health bar, 72% of your bar in one hit, three times, and it is the named killing blow on two of the nine deaths. Six of the group's eleven kicks went to the shaman instead.

The interrupts also stopped happening. Eight of the eleven landed before 11:00:16, and only two in the thirty-six seconds after that.

Your grade, and what the run's shape decided for it

The F is 35, and two of the four scored axes were settled by the shape of the key rather than by your play.

throughput 25 means you covered 31% of the 17,599,978 that needed an outside heal. The report already flags why that is a floor: this key asked 132,392 per second, past the 130,287 that is the 95th percentile of the 55 keys the scale was cut on. The other half of that number is that 46% of the party's intake was self-covered or overkill. People were being deleted, and a heal that lands after the killing blow counts for nothing.

activity 45 means you were pressing something in 69% of the seconds you were alive and in combat. On a seventy-nine second fight where you died at 1:00, the gap that drives it is the nine seconds between coming back up and your first cast after it.

response was dropped rather than scored, because the party's worst windows cover 80% of an eighty-second fight and there is no calmer baseline left to compare them against.

What you did well: every raid cooldown went out (Avenging Wrath, Divine Toll, Aura Mastery, Beacon of Virtue twice, Blessing of Sacrifice, Blessing of Protection), which is the 100 on utility. And Divine Shield at 0:31 looks panicky until you check the health trace: you bottomed out at 1% of your health bar in the five seconds before you pressed it.

Three things in the record that are not right

The "never pressed: Lay on Hands" line is wrong for this run. Your own Divine Shield put Forbearance on you at 10:59:43.345. It fell off at 11:00:13.132. You died at 11:00:13.145, thirteen milliseconds later. Lay on Hands was locked out for the entire window between your two big damage events, and the line should not be read as a missed press.

Divine Protection is missing from the classified set. You never pressed it here, and it is not on the never-pressed list either, because Arbiter does not classify it. You pressed it twice in the +14 an hour later, so it is on the bar. It is the one defensive that was genuinely available and unused.

Nine deaths, but three of them recovered in about two seconds with no resurrection spell anywhere in the log: Frost DK died at t=28.7 and was casting at t=30.7, you died at t=60.7 and were casting at t=63.2, Arcane Mage died at t=65.7 and was rebuffing at t=68.8. Every aura including Well Fed was stripped, so these were real deaths. I could not identify what brought them back. The seasonal affix here is 147, which Arbiter has no name for. Whether the M+ timer charged those three is not something the log records.
