TipDivine Toll the moment it lights up in Wings

Timed by 57 s even though the fire casters before Kokia went unkicked and took down most of the group.

The group timed Ruby Life Pools with less than a minute to spare. The trouble came at the fire casters before Kokia, when Doryhunky pulled the next Blazebound Destroyer pack while a Cinderweaver from the last pack was still up. That chain is the normal route, and every timed +16 checked on Warcraft Logs pulled it the same way.

The kicks did not keep up. Both Cinderweavers cast freely for about 15 s, and Cinderbolt landed on top of Inferno. Resto Druid, Shadow Priest, BM Hunter and Hyporock died within 16 s of each other. Doryhunky held the whole pack while they came back, so nothing reset and the group paid only the death penalties.

Kicks and the battle res

You kicked 35 times, your most in the archive. In the collapse you bubbled and battle-rezzed Resto Druid inside Divine Shield. Your own death came after Divine Shield and Divine Protection were already spent on the same pull, so nothing was left to press.

PRESSDivine Toll

WHEN
The moment it comes off cooldown inside Wings.
WHY
Toll sat ready for 12 s during a Wings in the pack before Kokia. After that it trailed every Wings, and in the Thundercloud gauntlet it came after Wings had ended.
PAYOFF
Both buttons are on a 1-minute cooldown, so once Toll falls behind it stays behind for the rest of the key.

What to change, biggest first

  1. Everyone: give each Cinderweaver at the fire camp its own kicker; Doryhunky keeps Fiery Blast.
  2. Resto Druid: Barkskin when Inferno and a Cinderbolt line up on you.
  3. Doryhunky: after a boss, wait for Resto Druid to finish drinking before the next pull.
  4. Hyporock: press Divine Toll the moment it lights up inside Wings.

What the group changes together

The fire camp before Kokia needs a kick plan. Give each Primalist Cinderweaver its own kicker and leave the Destroyer's Fiery Blast to Doryhunky. Hyporock was the only damage dealer kicking Cinderbolt in the collapse and had to stop to battle-rez the healer. Also give Resto Druid a real drink after each boss. Their drinks never lasted longer than 7 s, and they ran out of mana near the end of Kokia.

The comp

The comp was fine for this dungeon. It had two battle resurrections and two ways to strip the Thundercloud shields. Resto Druid reached every damaging dispellable debuff.

Notes

Where the numbers need a second look

Pull 3 was not a wipe

The report charges pull 3 as a wipe costing 5:20, on the rule that 4 of 5 dead means the pack has to be killed again. Doryhunky never died and never lost the pack. Everything engaged at 9:52 (a Destroyer, 2 Cinderweavers, 2 Flamelashers) died between 11:04 and 12:12 once people were back, and the dead were casting again 6-23 s after dying. The real cost was the 4 death penalties (60 s) plus the damage lost while they ran. The Flamegullet pack at 11:14 was pulled before combat dropped, so the report folds it into the same pull.

Checking the fire-camp chain on Warcraft Logs

14 timed +16 Ruby Life Pools runs from the Warcraft Logs rankings (pages 1-20) were checked before calling the 9:52 chain too big. 13 of 14 had 2 or more Primalist Cinderweavers alive at once next to a Blazebound Destroyer, between 6 and 10 minutes in. 12 of 14 pulled a Destroyer while a Cinderweaver from the previous pack was still up. Those groups lost 0-2 players before Kokia. This group lost 5.
