You healed more than you ever have in this dungeon; the group lost it by pouring 13% of its damage into shielded adds and never killing the two things summoning them.

The deaths were not yours. Across seven Ruby Life Pools runs on record this is the hardest by a distance — 160,535 of healing needed per second against a previous worst of 115,684 — and it is also the most healing you have ever done here: 139,447 HPS, 18% above your own best, which was the A you took on the +12 six days ago. Your throughput score still fell to 63, because that axis is a share of demand rather than a rate, and demand grew faster than any healer's output could.

What killed the group was target priority. From 21:40 the party was fighting two summoners it never killed, and 45 Primal Thunderclouds arrived carrying roughly three million points of absorb each. Those shields swallowed 136,686,788 of the party's damage — 13.3% of everything the five of you dealt all key. High Channeler Ryvati finished the run alive at 65% health, having shielded itself four times; every shield ran its full 15 seconds and then landed on every living player. Eight of the nine deaths followed one of those payloads within seconds.

You have two things to answer for and both are small: a Divine Protection you asked for twice and never got out before the 14:25 death, and the lowest response score of your seven runs here. Neither is a wipe.

What to change, biggest first

  1. Nothing to change on output. 139,447 HPS is the most you have healed in this dungeon and 18% above your own best here; throughput fell because demand rose 39%, not because you did.
  2. Get Divine Protection out earlier. It was refused twice in the four seconds before the 14:25 death and never asked for again once the global cleared.
  3. For the group, on the storm gauntlet: kill the Tempest Channeler and High Channeler Ryvati first. They summon the Thunderclouds, whose shields ate 13.3% of everything the party dealt all key.
  4. Havoc DH and Demo Lock: 8.8% of your damage went into Ryvati while its shield was up. It runs fifteen seconds and then lands on all five of you.
  5. Prot Paladin: the live enemy count went 9 to 22 between 21:40 and 22:00 and never came back down. That is the signal to stop adding packs, not the damage taken.
  6. Enh Shaman said in chat that this was not the healer's fault. The log agrees with Enh Shaman.

Notes

Where the numbers need a second look

What the group was actually fighting

Kokia Blazehoof died at 20:16 and the tank opened the storm gauntlet at 20:29. By 21:30 that pack was down to six live enemies. At 21:40 the tank opened on three fresh ones with Judgment — a Storm Warrior, a Primal Thundercloud and a Tempest Channeler — and between 21:40 and 22:00 the live enemy count went from nine to twenty-two. It never fell below fifteen again.

Two of those enemies were summoners, and the log hides that behind one name. Summon Primal Thunderclouds is two different spells: a Tempest Channeler cast 1307502 seven times, and High Channeler Ryvati cast 1307511 four times. Forty-five Primal Thunderclouds were spawned and shielded.

The shield is what broke the key. Each cloud self-applies Stormcloud Barrier carrying about 3.0 million points of absorb — 17,598 absorb events across 45 clouds, 136,686,788 absorbed in total. Only 756,370 damage ever actually landed on a cloud, and all 26 that died did so without being damaged down. The party's cleave was going into shields on adds that expired on their own regardless.

The fifteen seconds that settle the argument

Ryvati shields itself as well (spell 1310355), and that one does need attention. It went up four times. Every time it ran its full 15.0 seconds and came off on the timer, and the moment it did, every living player took the debuff (1310361) and the damage (1310363) — 211 hits for 11,998,939, spread evenly at 37 to 46 hits each.

The first one settles the argument. It was up from 21:58 to 22:13. In those fifteen seconds the party dealt 15,588,562 damage and put 2,245,611 of it — 14.4% — into Ryvati. Broken out: Enh Shaman 29.1%, Prot Paladin 26.9%, Demo Lock 8.8%, Havoc DH 8.8%, you 8.2%. Enh Shaman died two seconds after that shield fell and the party never recovered.

By the fourth shield at 23:37 the group had worked it out — 57.7% of their damage went into Ryvati. By then three of them were dead and party output over the same fifteen seconds had fallen from 15.6 million to 3.5 million. Ryvati ended the run alive at 65.4% of 20,938,452 health.

Nobody attempted an interrupt on either summoner. Whether that cast can be stopped is not settled by this log, because no one tried it.

Read your throughput and response scores carefully — both are demand-blind here

Healing needed below is the damage the party took that it could not cover itself. It is the denominator throughput is scored against, and it is the number that moved.

| key | healing needed /s | your HPS | throughput | grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +7 | 84,408 | 77,802 | 63 | C- |
| +8 | 97,138 | 92,127 | 76 | B |
| +10 | 99,319 | 95,053 | 74 | B- |
| +11 | 86,342 | 89,653 | 93 | B+ |
| +12 | 101,782 | 107,074 | 91 | B+ |
| +12 | 115,684 | 117,713 | 92 | A |
| **+14** | **160,535** | **139,447** | **63** | **C-** |

Demand rose 39% over the hardest key on that list. Your output rose 18% over your own best and still lost ground, which is what a score built as a share rather than a rate does when the job gets bigger.

One number on this run is not demand: the party covered only 36% of its own intake, against 42–51% in the other six. Part of that is the composition — every previous Ruby Life Pools on record had a Vengeance DH or a Blood DK tanking, and this was the first Prot Paladin, who took 184,539,306 damage, a third more than any tank before them.

This key is also marked abandoned: it stopped at 24:06 with the party still in combat, so every axis here describes a truncated sample and none of it is directly comparable to a timed run.

What you got wrong

Two things, both real, neither of them the wipe.

At 14:25 you asked for Divine Protection twice and were refused both times — still on cooldown — the last of them 4.4 seconds before you died. The global cleared after that, because you got a Holy Shock off 3.5 seconds before death, and you never asked for it again. That is the one death in this key that was yours.

Response — whether your output rose during the party's worst windows — came in at 51, your lowest across the seven runs here against 70 to 95 elsewhere. You put back 34% of the 121,176,048 that landed in those windows. Some of that is simply that you were dead through parts of them.

What you did not do is stand in anything. Your mechanics score is 100: none of your intake was damage the rest of the party avoided. You cleansed 5 of 5, and you were engaged 94% of the time you were alive and in combat.

The other four

**Prot Paladin — Prot Paladin, C- 63.** Zero deaths against 184,539,306 damage taken, a third more than any tank in the previous six runs here. Held active mitigation 81% of the time and covered 100% of their own worst windows. Made the 21:40 pull and kept pulling into a count that never came down. Second best focus on the first Ryvati shield at 26.9%. Overcapped 39% of their Holy Power.

**Demo Lock — Demo Lock, B- 74.** The party's best damage at 225,853 DPS, one death, and the best self-preservation on show: Unending Resolve, two Dark Pacts, two Mortal Coils and two Healthstones through the collapse. Put 8.8% into the first shield.

**Havoc DH — Havoc DH, C 67.** 201,778 DPS, which is second in this party rather than first. Two deaths, fifteen interrupts, never pressed Consume Magic or Sigil of Misery. Dealt 8,237,184 damage during the first Ryvati shield with 8.8% of it aimed at Ryvati — the largest single pool of misdirected damage in the run.

**Enh Shaman — Enh Shaman, C+ 69.** Lowest damage at 182,378, and the most useful player in that pull: 32 interrupts against a party total of 102, and the highest share into Ryvati on both of the first two shields, at 29.1% and 41.0%. Never pressed Purge.

Group interrupts held at 92% for the key — 102 of 111 stoppable casts — and then collapsed to three in the final 140 seconds. Nobody stayed dead: every death was followed by that player taking damage again 10 to 22 seconds later, so the pull never reset and the count never cleared.
