Timed with 21 s to spare; two of three deaths stood in Aka'ali's 6-second charge, and Hyporock's Wings went out with Expurgation on the target 26 of 26 times (about half in the four keys before).

A clean +1: 32:39 against a 33:00 par, 89% of the clock in combat, 2:53 of walking, and 45 seconds of death penalty that would have made it 31:54. Nobody lost this key, and nobody was carried — the tank kicked more than anyone, the healer kept four people alive through a boss-heavy route, and Hyporock out-damaged both other damage dealers by a quarter with zero deaths.

The three deaths are all on the Council of Tribes and the raptor pack before it, and two of them have one cause. Aka'ali the Conqueror's Barrel Through is a charge with a six-second wind-up aimed at one player, and it hit three to five of the party on every one of its six casts. Arcane Mage stood in it at 33% health with Ice Block unused; Resto Shaman took it while also standing in a Torrent beam. The rogue's death was different — two raptors leapt at her inside one second from 56% health, and no rogue button stops that.

For Hyporock the key was a test of the new "OK" cue under the Wings icon, and the log answers it: Avenging Wrath was pressed with Expurgation already burning on the target every single time, 1.2 seconds after the Blade of Justice that put it there. In the four keys before tonight it was about half. What that is worth in damage is small and is said plainly below; the A grade is mostly a rank against two weaker damage dealers, not proof of a faster rotation.

How it went

  2. 24:04Arcane Mage to Whirling Axe from Kula the Butcher. No defensive pressed.
  3. 25:39Resto Shaman to Barrel Through from Aka'ali the Conqueror. No defensive pressed.
  4. 32:04Timed with 0:20 to spare.

What to change, biggest first

  1. Everyone: when Aka'ali starts Barrel Through, the targeted player takes it out of the group and the other four step off the line — six casts hit 24 of you tonight and killed two.
  2. Arcane Mage: Ice Block or Alter Time during any Council wind-up under half health; both went unpressed all key, and you died at 33%.
  3. Resto Shaman: Astral Shift when a charge is winding up, and never share a Torrent beam with it — 1.1 M in 0.8 s was survivable at 40% reduction.
  4. Arcane Mage and Sub Rogue: three kicks each against six and nine available — Spectral Bolt leaked 13 of 29.
  5. Hyporock: nothing to change on the burst order — Blade then Wings landed 26 of 26. Upload this log to Warcraft Logs so the run's percentile can answer the damage question the grade cannot.
  6. Whoever holds the raptor pack: the rogue sat at half health before two leaps landed; that pull wants a top-up, not a defensive she does not have.

Notes

Where the numbers need a second look

Whose fault: the three deaths

**Sub Rogue, 19:28, raptor pack after Mchimba.** Two Honored Raptors leapt at her within one second — Hunting Leap for 716,207 and then 348,540 — from 56% health. That is 1.06 M in a second on a rogue; Feint only cuts area damage, Cloak does nothing to a physical leap, Evasion does not dodge a spell. Not her fault. The only fix was being above half in a sixteen-mob pull; 55k of healing reached her in that window.

**Arcane Mage, 24:04, Council.** Barrel Through for 511,640 and a Whirling Axe for 264,611 in the same tenth of a second, from 33% health. The charge was aimed at Hyporock — she was a bystander in its line — and no healing landed on her. Ice Block and Alter Time were never pressed all key. Both exist for exactly this.

**Resto Shaman, 25:39, Council.** Arc Lightning 225,525, a Torrent beam 368,479, then Barrel Through 510,892 — 1.1 M in 0.8 s from 76%. Again the charge was aimed at Hyporock. Astral Shift cuts damage by 40% and would have left her standing (1.1 M × 0.6 is under the 1.07 M she had); it was not pressed. Being in the Torrent at the same moment is the other half.

Barrel Through hit three to five of you, every time

Six charges, 24 hits: 3, 4, 4, 4, 5 and 4 players struck, 8.58 M of damage before absorbs, two of the three deaths. The wind-up is six seconds from cast start to landing, on a named player: Hyporock twice, Resto Shaman twice, Arcane Mage once, Sub Rogue once. Everybody else being hit each time means nobody was leaving the line in those six seconds.

The grader excuses this under "aimed at most of the party" because the boss chose the target; that is correct for the chosen player and generous to everyone else. The bystander hits (18 of the 24) are the part the party could have moved out of. Whoever is targeted takes the charge away from the group; the other four step off the line between Aka'ali and that player. With a six-second tell there is time.

Hyporock: the OK cue did its job, and what that is worth

The rule the cue encodes is SimC's Holy Flames gate: Avenging Wrath, Execution Sentence, potion and trinkets wait until Expurgation is burning on the target, which Blade of Justice applies. Measured from the log (Expurgation's applied/removed events on the mob his next hit landed on, at the instant of each Wings press):

key Wings with Expurgation up Blade→Wings gap
  Kings' Rest +15, tonight (cue live) 26 of 26 1.2 s median
  Temple of Sethraliss +15, 90 min earlier 10 of 23 7.1 s
  Voidscar Arena +14, 09-13 12 of 22 6.6 s
  Ruby Life Pools +15, 09-13 9 of 21 5.6 s
  Murder Row +14, 09-12 8 of 22 7.7 s

The behaviour changed completely. Execution Sentence followed Wings within 0.1 s on all 26; Hammer of Wrath inside Wings ran 12.5 a minute, the rate SimC's own list produces on his gear; Blade outside Wings was 7.4 a minute, level with the top parses.

What it is worth: Holy Flames adds a few percent of Holy damage against a target carrying Expurgation (5% on the current tooltip), and the gate only changes the first GCD or two of each Wings window, before the first Blade would have landed anyway. Twenty-six windows times a GCD and a half times five percent is about two GCDs of damage over the whole key — on the order of 0.1%. Keep it — it is free and it is the list's order — but do not expect the meter to show it.

On "it helped my DPS": 201,578 here against 240,564 in Sethraliss ninety minutes earlier is not a comparison — Sethraliss killed 197 enemies in eight pulls, Kings' Rest 111 in fifteen, with 47% of the damage taken on bosses. The A is a rank: 124% of two weaker damage dealers, where Sethraliss was 94% of an Arms Warrior doing 282k and read C. Both keys had a Shaman, so neither is inflated by Skyfury relative to the other. What would settle it is Warcraft Logs' percentile for this run, and nobody has uploaded it; the Sethraliss +15 is up and reads the 40th percentile among +15 Ret parses.

Where the tables are wrong, and the rest of the party

**Resto Shaman's dispel score under-reads her.** It charges 17 of 30 reachable debuffs, but Sudden Rupture (7 left up, 6.36 M) and Savage Maul (3 left up) are bleeds — Purify Spirit removes Magic and Curses and cannot touch either. The only dispellable thing left up that was hers was Frost Shock, six times for 516k. Her real numbers: 75% of the damage that needed an outside heal was covered, 38% of what landed in the party's worst eight-second windows was put back, and 76% of combat time was spent casting. The Hexes that got through the kicks (3 of 8) are a Curse she and Arcane Mage's Remove Curse can both clear.

**Guardian Druid** read C+ on rank axes; on the ones that measure him he was fine — 95% of the mitigation his kit can hold, no deaths, 24 casts stopped (the most in the party), two battle resurrections. Ignore the Astral Power line; it is not a Guardian resource.

**Interrupts** were 75% as a group; Spectral Bolt got through 13 of 29 times. Arcane Mage and Sub Rogue stopped three casts each against six and nine expected; Hyporock stopped 17 against nine.
