Depleted by 1:36: five trash deaths (1:15 of penalty) sent the party into Kyrakka at 26:01 on a 28:00 clock; the four deaths on the boss came after the timer had already run out.

This key was lost on trash, before the last boss was pulled. Five players died while the timer was still running -- three in the opening pull, the healer to a Fiery Blast in the fire camp, the shaman to his own Living Bomb -- and at +16 each one adds 15 seconds. The party engaged Kyrakka and Erkhart with 26:01 on a 28:00 clock: two minutes for a fight this group has never finished in under 2:38 at +15. The timer expired at 26:54, twelve seconds before the tank died, so the four deaths in the boss cascade cost nothing on the clock.

No single player depleted it. Holy Paladin stood in two ground effects inside the first 3.5 minutes; Hyporock died to ceiling debris at 2:21 with his cooldowns already spent; a lethal four-second cast got through the fire camp while three kicks were up; Ele Shaman carried a bomb inside Inferno's radius; and the tank died on the boss to a Stormslam the healer had not cleansed, which doubles the next one. Underneath it all is the Ruby Life Pools tax: 34 Stormcloud Barriers ate 188M of the party's damage, the fifth key in a row with that shape -- though for the first time on record the shaman purged eleven of them.

What went right: 93% of stoppable casts were stopped, the tank held 98% mitigation uptime, Hyporock led the party in damage and in kicks, and a three-death cascade on the last boss was recovered with three battle resurrections and turned into a kill.

What to change, biggest first

  1. Fire camp: kill the Blazebound Destroyer first, every pull. Tonight the four Destroyers were among the last things to die, and Inferno -- unkickable, unstunnable -- was 18% of all damage taken.
  2. Kick priority in the fire camp: Fiery Blast (four-second bar, one-shots anyone but the tank) over Cinderbolt (2.5 seconds, 200-400k). Whoever's kick is up when that bar starts takes it; at 10:46 that was Hyporock.
  3. Gauntlet: kill the Tempest Channelers and Ryvati and stop hitting the clouds. Ele Shaman keeps purging; Arcane Mage adds Spellsteal -- one global removes a 5.5M shield.
  4. Holy Paladin: cleanse Stormslam every time it lands on the tank; the one left up at 26:42 doubled the slam that killed him at 27:06. And the two ground pools in the opener.
  5. Hyporock: two bosses on you and Divine Shield up means Divine Shield. Lay on Hands at 70% healed 322k and Forbearance locked out both immunities for the four seconds you had left.
  6. Keep: 93% of stoppable casts stopped, 98% mitigation uptime, and the three-resurrection recovery on the boss. Nothing to change in the group's kicking overall or the tank's mitigation.

Notes

Where the numbers need a second look

Where the 1:36 went

29:36 against a 28:00 par: 26:59 fighting, 1:20 walking, 0:09 lead-in, 1:15 of death penalty. The tool prints 2:15 because it charges all nine deaths; the game's timer (29:36 against 28:30 of real elapsed time) charges five. Deaths after the timer expires add nothing.

The 2026-09-13 +15 that timed had the same party output (838k/s then, 811k/s tonight): 23:11 of fighting, two deaths. A +16 adds ~10% enemy health, so about 2:20 more fighting was owed; tonight had 3:48 more. The extra ~1:30 is what deaths cost beyond the penalty -- 21 seconds with no healer in the fire camp, the shaman's self-res and second death, the boss cascade.

The gauntlet (21:21-24:54) spawned 48 Primal Thunderclouds, each with a Stormcloud Barrier. Fourteen were stripped (eleven by Ele Shaman's Purge, three by Arcane Mage's Arcane Phoenix); the other 34 were burned through: 187.6M absorbed, ~5.5M a shield, 11.6% of everything the party swung for, or 3:51 of the whole party's output. Cleave that also hit a real target is not all lost; against the +15 that timed (10.8% into enemy shields), tonight's 14.4% is ~58M more, about 70 seconds of party output.

The nine deaths

Opening pull (30 enemies, two Primal Juggernauts). 0:25 Holy Paladin, sixteen seconds in: Blast Chunks 862k plus Excavating Blast 399k in three seconds. Blast Chunks is the Juggernaut's ceiling debris ("within 6 yards of the impacts", per the spell data); it landed twice all key, both kills. 2:21 Hyporock: eight seconds of Earthbound's Imprint (1.14M) and Excavating Blast, then Blast Chunks 817k. Nothing useful was up -- Divine Protection 1:56, Divine Shield 0:23, Lay on Hands 0:52. 3:29 Holy Paladin: Molten Steel 742k, a ground pool.

Fire camp. 10:51 Holy Paladin, one-shot by Fiery Blast for 1.33M -- a four-second kickable bar that started at 10:46. Guardian Druid's Skull Bash (10:47) and Ele Shaman's Wind Shear (10:49) both went into 2.5-second Cinderbolts; Hyporock's Rebuke sat unused from 10:10 to 11:07. 14:17 Ele Shaman: Living Bomb 996k plus Inferno 701k in four seconds. The bomb kills its carrier unless he walks 16 yards off; he was inside Inferno's stamp with it.

Kyrakka and Erkhart (timer expired 26:54). Stormslam is two hits per cast -- a Physical slam that armour and Ironfur cut to 110-310k, and a 544k Nature burst -- and its tooltip reads "increasing Nature damage taken by 100% for 30 sec. This effect stacks." The debuff is Magic. Holy Paladin cleansed the first three; the fourth, applied 26:42, was still on the tank at 27:06, and that burst hit for 809k -- 149% of its listed base against 8-54% for the other five, no absorb, no crit. 1.84M in 2.4 seconds, healed 375k; Survival Instincts was available. 27:10 Ele Shaman: Roaring Firebreath, started as the tank fell, hit Kyrakka's new target for 895k through Astral Shift; Reincarnation 27:14. 27:19 Hyporock: he resurrected the tank at 27:10, then held both bosses -- nine swings, ~1.8M in 6.8 seconds. At 27:15, at about 70%, he pressed Lay on Hands on himself for 322k; Forbearance then locked out Divine Shield (up since 25:31) and Blessing of Protection. 27:39 Ele Shaman again: 957k of Inferno Spit, Kyrakka's floor fire, 25 seconds after his self-res.

Player by player

Guardian Druid (Guardian, C). Mitigation 91 is 98% of the uptime this kit can hold, every worst window covered -- keep it. Interrupts 63 is 38 stops against the 53 a 15-second Skull Bash could reach; damage 63 is a rank.

Holy Paladin (Holy Paladin, C). Throughput 78 means 78% of the 251M that needed an outside heal was covered -- and the key demanded 147k/s, above the range the scale was cut on, so read it as a floor. Survival 28 is three deaths, two in ground effects; the third was a kick failure, not hers. Dispel 68 is three of five, and one of the two left up killed the tank.

Hyporock (Retribution, B). Most damage (240.5k, 111% of the other DPS median), most stops (42 against 27 expected), both battle resurrections well placed. Holy Power overcap 24% is a constant of the build, not a fault. To change: the Rebuke at 10:46, the Lay on Hands at 27:15, the debris at 2:21.

Arcane Mage (Arcane Mage, B+). No deaths, 226.8k (the median), 24 stops against 16 expected. The phoenix stole three barriers; he cast no Spellsteal himself.

Ele Shaman (Elemental, D+). Three deaths cost 11 points; 208.8k is 90% of the median; 22 stops against 33 expected (Wind Shear is the shortest kick here). Eleven Purges on Stormcloud Barrier is a first in five Ruby Life Pools keys on record (1 of 48 on 09-08, 0 of 113 on 09-14). To change: walk the bomb out, Wind Shear the four-second bars, the fire after a self-res.

Where the tables are wrong tonight

The "!! implies 5.0 deaths, parser found 9" warning is not a parser error: both numbers are right, because deaths after the timer runs out are not charged. The time-budget line overstates the penalty by exactly 1:00.

Melee in every death entry is doubled, a known unfixed defect: Hyporock's "Melee 3,214,714" is 1.79M off the raw swings.

Mechanics reads 100 for all five. Inferno (69.6M, 18% of everything the party took) is excused because everybody took it; it is the key's largest damage source and pure position -- a 3.5-second bar, a radius, nothing to kick or stun. The score cannot see it; the kill order can: the four Destroyers died 1:36, 2:55, 1:49 and 3:25 into their pulls, the last one the final mob of its pack.
