Overpullwhole opener, then chained the BelcherBrewmaster MonkTipHold your bubble for the back half of a big pull

Both wipes came on the opening pack. Pull 1 outlasted everyone's cooldowns, and pull 2 chained into the Belcher pack.

Brewmaster Monk pulled the whole opening area at once. Lust went out early, and the pack was about half dead when the tank died. Everyone else followed within a few seconds.

The pack reset, and the group killed it on the second try without lust. Before the last Stalkers died, the tank pulled the Sporeblight Belcher pack too. Spouting Floret and unkicked Light Bolts killed two players while the new mobs were still at full health, and the key was abandoned.

Nobody failed a mechanic. Both wipes came from pull size, and in pull 1 the tank, the hunter and Hyporock had all spent their big defensives early. The key was abandoned, so its numbers cover a short, broken run.

From the write-up

**Outside your control.** Wipe 2 was Spouting Floret plus Belch Spores while the new pack was at full health. No personal button fixes that. **Did well.** You made 8 Rebuke stops, about double what Arbiter expects, and none were wasted on a stopped cast. In pull 1 you used Freedom and Sacrifice on the tank and Blessing of Protection on BM Hunter. In pull 2 you used Lay on Hands on yourself and Divine Protection every time it came back. **Change.** You used Divine Shield at 0:29 while you were at 80% health. It cleared Spore Spines, but that is Mistweaver Monk's dispel. When the burst came at 1:28, you had nothing left to press. Keep the bubble for the back half of a big pull. **Damage.** You did 72% of the other dps players' median, mostly because two deaths cut your time. Holy Power waste was 27%, inside what top Ret players lose, so nothing to fix there.

How it went

  2. 4:26CascadeEle Shaman and Hyporock in 8 s, to Light Bolt and Belch Spores. Ele Shaman went first. 1 of 2 with no defensive pressed.
  3. 4:42The key was dropped 4:42 in, with 23:42 left on the timer.

What to change, biggest first

  1. Split the opening area, or plan lust and defensives for it as one pull.
  2. Brewmaster Monk: don't pull the Belcher pack until the last pack is dead and Mistweaver Monk has mana.
  3. Hold one big defensive for the back half of a big pull: Hyporock's bubble, Brewmaster Monk's Fortifying Brew or Niuzao, BM Hunter's Exhilaration.
  4. Mistweaver Monk: Mana Tea around 40%, and Detox Spore Spines off the dps first.

What the group changes together

Pull smaller at +17 with this group. Take the opening area in two pulls, or in one pull with lust and each player's defensives planned for the back half. Never pull the Belcher pack before the previous pack is dead and the healer has mana. Floret hits all five every 2 s and nobody has stopped it in any log so far. Light Bolt got through about half the time, so give each Spellsower a named kicker (Hyporock and BM Hunter), with the tank as backup.

The comp

The comp was fine. Only the healer can remove Spore Spines (Magic), so every copy on a dps waits on Mistweaver Monk.

Notes

Where the numbers need a second look

Where the grader is wrong for this run

Brewmaster Monk's mitigation score of 29 only counts Fortifying Brew and Celestial Infusion uptime. Shuffle, the Brewmaster's main mitigation, is left out on purpose (see arbiter/knowledge.py). Counted from the log, Shuffle was up 90% of pull 1 and 99% of pull 2.

BM Hunter's UNIT_DIED lines at 0:37 and 4:23 are Feign Death. Arbiter already leaves them out of the death count ("2 more went down without dying"), but they show on the timeline.

Mistweaver Monk's mana numbers come from the log's power fields on Mistweaver Monk's casts: 53% at the first wipe, then 3% at 4:06.
